John is extremely knowledgeable and honest and if he doesn't have what you want in stock usually he can get it or tell you where to get it and he always tells the honest truth about the products and fish and won't try to sell you anything you don't actually need

We have a new tank for the family room and are looking around for colorful freshwater fish. There were several staff members that assisted us and everyone there (including the owner) was VERY knowledgeable, honest and kind. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for fresh or salt water aquarium accessories and or fishes, turtles, etc.

Wide variety of fish. The mbuna at most stores I go to are best up from aggression, but these mbuna were spot on. Also the staff is very nice, helpful, and is always willing to help

My husband and I recently got into the fishtank community and all of our hard work finally paid off!!! We have been cycling our fish tank since Aug. 23rd and finally added fish last night. We’re slowly building up a community fish tank as suggested by our local fish store Louisiana Fish Store. 10/10 recommend them to anybody in the Baton Rouge area. This wouldn’t have been possible without them. All advice on how to successfully build our tank came from them, all plants came from them, and all fish we intend to put in our tank will also come from them. I cannot say enough good things about this local business. My only issue is not having enough patience and money to get all of the fish I want RIGHT NOW lol. 1000000/10.

Love this place they've been so helpful in getting my first tank started and picking what to go in it from plants, rocks, animals, and equipment. They've answered my worried messages and calls about my tank with kindness and support. Amazing staff and amazing fish!

Loved this store so much! I was trying to find a store asap for some tank maintenance and upgrades as a beginner. The staff were really nice and gave good advice! All of the workers were super knowledgeable and enjoyed breaking down the very science of keeping a tank. I was able to keep a planted tank thanks to their guidance! 10/10!
